Importers of Sugar.
This map shows the main countries which import sugar. It is obvious that Brazil, the worlds top producer of sugar, does not need to import sugar like other countries do. Russia and the United States of America are places that do not produce their own sugar and therefore need to import it from other countries, as shown in this choropleth map. This map shows that sugar mainly needs to be imported in the northern hemisphere of the world.

This bar graph shows a raw value of sugar consumption in ten different countries of the world, the top consuming countries of sugar. It states plainly that India consumed the most sugar in 2010-2011, followed by the European Union. India consumed a total of roughly 24,00 million tons whereas the European Union only consumed roughly 18,00 million tons of sugar.

This pie chart shows the largest importers of raw sugar as a percentage of total exports by volume from 2007-2012. It suggests that countries other that the EU-27 and Asian type countries were the largest importers of sugar with a massive 57% to 43%.
